Your local journal
Solift does not require a Solift account. Workouts, routines, exercise definitions, body measurements, names, notes and chosen images are stored in app-private storage on your device. The current candidate has no developer-operated workout server, advertising SDK or analytics SDK. This does not mean that platform providers or website hosts never process information.
Optional personal cloud
Supported, configured iOS builds can synchronize structured exercise, routine and completed-workout fields through your Apple CloudKit private database. Body measurements, energy, user-written names and notes, other free text and custom photos are excluded from new cloud payloads. A cloud restore is not a complete copy of your local journal. Android does not currently offer Google Drive sync. Apple processes cloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.
If an earlier cloud copy contains private fields, the current candidate pauses new uploads and preserves a local recovery copy for review before you explicitly retire the old cloud data. Update all devices first: older versions may upload it again.
Paired watches and optional health features
Where available, selected templates and training reference data travel between paired devices using Apple WatchConnectivity or Google Wear OS Data Layer. Records remain on the recording device until the phone confirms saving them. These transfers are not a cloud backup.
Optional Apple Watch system workouts can use Apple Health for workouts and estimated active energy. Wear OS uses Health Services for estimated total energy, including resting energy; it does not currently export to Health Connect. Manual logging remains available without optional health access. Solift does not use raw heart-rate curves or location for this feature. Energy is an estimate, not medical advice.
Energy is stored separately on the watch and paired phone. It is excluded from personal cloud, ordinary JSON and CSV exports, and workout share images. Turning off future collection does not remove existing records.
Permissions, only for the features you use
Camera access supports user-initiated offline template QR import. Photo access supports images you select and saving share images. Notifications support rest reminders. Health and activity permissions support optional system workouts on supported watches. Device permissions can be reviewed or revoked in system settings; the related feature may then be unavailable.
Purchases
Apple or Google handles store purchases and restoration. Solift stores a local entitlement state to enable Pro features. We do not receive your payment-card information. Purchase ownership is tied to the originating store, not to a Solift account or a journal backup.
Exports and sharing
A JSON backup can contain journal records, body measurements, names, notes and chosen images. Different CSV, image and recovery exports have different scopes. Check the export or sharing screen before continuing. You choose the destination; its provider or recipient controls that copy. Ordinary backups do not include energy, purchase ownership or records that exist only on an offline watch.
Keeping and deleting information
Local records remain until you remove them or the app’s storage is removed. Deleting a Solift workout deletes associated phone energy and retains minimal identifiers needed to reject late duplicate data. Offline watches, other devices, private cloud copies and exports must be handled separately. Deleting Solift history does not delete Apple Health workouts or samples; manage these in Apple Health.
App files are configured to be excluded from automatic operating-system backup, with Android device-transfer exclusions as well. Existing system backups are not retroactively deleted. Use intentional exports for journal content you want to keep; do not assume system backups will restore local private fields.
This website and support correspondence
This static website does not receive your Solift journal or proxy your iCloud data. We do not use advertising, analytics scripts or non-essential cookies. Cloudflare processes connection information such as IP address, request details and technical logs to deliver and protect the site, under its own policies. Hosting retention depends on the provider and account settings.
If you contact support, your email provider and ours process the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer and investigate your request. Share only what is needed and redact private information. A fixed support-email retention period has not yet been established for this pre-release draft.

This is a pre-release notice for the current candidate. Final availability, publisher details and the policy effective date will be confirmed before store submission. Future changes to data handling will be reflected on this page.
